大自然本来是很质朴的，由于人的原因才打破了这样的质朴。

　　现在，质朴的“荒”又变成了城里人向往的地方。人们游荒、探荒、玩荒，撕扯着没被过度开发的“珍贵”之地，开始关心和探索前人留荒封关的意义、以及自然生态的必要。

　　荒是原始的，荒是纯净的，大自然所有元素对我而言都是如此地适宜。过度利用资源，“面面俱到”的装饰和改变，让质朴的自然变成了冷血的美丽。虽然大自然暂时还默默地汇拥人的侵袭，没有马上反抗，但人也不要太自私了，这帐迟早会被算的。人必须学会清醒。只有清醒才能享用自然的生生不息。人应该像大自然那样从容不迫、细密周全地生活，不要只偏重利益……

　　地球需要的是自然村落和它的高雅子民 ……

　　在我看来，人类创造的事物永远不能跟大自然媲美。与自然和谐，才是人最初和最终的状态。

Wilderness I

　　Originally, the nature was supposed to be plain and simple. It was human beings that broke such plainness and simplicity.

　　But nowadays the plain and simple "wilderness" turns to become what urban dwellers look forward to. People pay visits to the wilderness, explore the wilderness and have their fun. They treasure and exploit the precious lands that have not been excessively developed, and start to care about the significance and necessity of wilderness to the natural ecology as well as the human society.

　　Wilderness is primitive. Wilderness is pure. All natural elements seem to find themselves a comfortable place here. Excessive exploitation of resources and exhaustive changes have turned the plain and simple nature into a kind of cold-blooded beauty. The nature has been putting up with the "invasion" of human beings for quite a time. But men shall not be too selfish or too ambitious. The debts will need to be paid sooner or later. Men have to learn to stay sober and cool. Only in this way can we truly enjoy the vitality and beauty of the nature. We can also learn from the plainness and simplicity of the nature if not weighing too much on practical benefits…

　　What the earth needs is its natural villages and well-behaved people.

　　I don't think what created by men can never be on a par with what created by the nature. To make peace with the nature is the ultimate state human beings should look forward to.
