Wilderness II
Vast wilderness is usually deemed as bleak and even terrifying. But I see more excitement in the bleak wilderness, for it's plain, primitive, unpolluted and undeveloped. It is virgin land, reflecting the most essential and fundamental power of nature.
The sympathetic response to the wilderness is a result of cultural and historic value. As a member of the society, artist perceives the interactive relationship between men and the nature, and represents that in various ways.
Everything can turn to become art. From this perspective, the feelings "wilderness" brings to me become even stronger. In a sense, "wilderness" per se contains some spirit of Zen. It is an expression of art. "Wilderness" is infinite and will not be limited or affected by human factors. It is endless, features no fixed state and evolves constantly.
